HOSTEL RESIDENT LIAISON OFFICER
The Iveagh Hostel is the largest and oldest independent Hostel in
Ireland, currently accommodating * men in
single rooms. Established in *, its purpose has
remained constant – to provide safe, clean and comfortable
accommodation to men in need, respecting their autonomy and privacy.
The Iveagh Trust has a long and distinguished history of demonstrating
real and practical care for its residents, through the commitment of
its staff, recognising that meeting the accommodation needs of people
involves so much more than bricks and mortar.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Iveagh Hostel to recruit
someone who can provide a listening ear and a helping hand for our
hostel residents, assisting them to engage with a range of external
services and also provide opportunities to engage in social and
community activities – particularly older residents or those who may
be more vulnerable.
As this is a new position, the holder will also play an important
role, developing and adapting the position to the needs of Hostel
residents, keeping to the long-established Iveagh Trust values of
care, courtesy and professionalism.
POSITION: Resident Liaison Officer
LOCATION: Bride Road, Dublin 8
REPORTING TO: Hostel Manager
HOURS: * hours (Monday to Friday)-to include
some evening work and may on occasion require weekend work
CONTRACT: Permanent
ANNUAL LEAVE: * days per annum
